January 1, 2023, marks the 64th anniversary of the victory of the Cuban Revolution over the US-backed dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista. On this occasion, RCPB(ML) sent a message to the Communist Party of Cuba, to President Miguel Diaz-Canel and to the entire Cuban people and their leadership conveying its warmest revolutionary greetings, with full confidence that revolutionary Cuba will overcome the challenges it faces based on mobilising the people and releasing their intiative and their sentiment to defend their sacred revolutionary project. This project is one of humanity and internationalism and has the broad support of the peoples of the world.
We salute Cuba's President Miguel Díaz-Canel whose leadership has inspired the Communist Party, government and people to prevail over the many challenges Cuba has faced in recent years and continues to face today. We salute the Cuban Communist Party and the Cuban people whose courage, tenacity and humanity are without equal.
Since the triumph of the revolution, through their resistance and with solidarity from around the world, the Cuban people have scored momentous victories and upheld the principles of the revolution with its focus on the people as human beings and their well-being. The Cuban people have demonstrated through their actions in 2022 that they stand firm in defence of the revolution, their sovereignty, their peace and their social project. They have shown their fidelity to the course set by Fidel, Raul, and all the legendary leaders of the revolution, the path of social revolution and socialist construction. They have responded to the challenges of natural disasters and the tragedy of the massive fire at Matanzas in August with courage and fortitude, and our hearts go out to the Cuban people in these circumstances.
Cuba remains a beacon of social justice, affirming the human rights of the Cuban people, and standing as a mighty force contributing to peace and stability in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as globally.

The peoples of the world denounce the inhuman US blockade of Cuba and are inspired by the heroic resistance of the Cuban people. For our part, we will make every effort in 2023 to arouse public opinion to agitate for the ending of the monstrous and cruel policy of the US blockade, a policy which cannot survive in this world where people will be decisive in setting the course of history. We are confident that the Cuban people will overcome the challenges they face, and continue on the path of independence, sovereignty, social justice and human dignity.
Long Live Revolutionary Cuba!
Congratulations on the Occasion of the 64th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution!
Hasta la Victoria Siempre!
President Miguel Díaz-Canel, sent a message through his Twitter account to congratulate the Cuban people on the occasion of the new year and the 64th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.
As we push the doors of 2023, we strongly feel the strength of the historic legacy that drives us towards the new year, without fear and doubt, but always aware that it could be even more difficult, the head of State wrote on his Twitter account.
In his message, Diaz-Canel stressed that the Cuban people's creativity is infinite and that they have achieved all their merits without backing down, despite several obstacles.
He pointed out that Cuba's resistance in 2022, a year that he considered challenging, "is proof that it can be done, again and again, it can be done."
The president urged to continue working on Cuba's progress, despite the intensification of the blockade imposed by the United States, "until its architects can't hinder our development," he stressed.
Díaz-Canel called to make a better country, "to make dreams come true here where we learned to dream."
"Today we have to guarantee the maintenance of the just conquests, with Marti's maxim that patriotism is a holy duty when fighting to put the country in a condition that men live in it happier, being that our sacred commitment," the president tweeted.
He also shared a postcard on Twitter that honours all the people who collaborated in the recovery of the western province of Pinar del Río after being hit by Hurricane Ian.
Previously, in the last session of the year of the Council of Ministers, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero pointed out that 2023 must be a year of reference and progress in Cuba, to continue strengthening socialist democracy, transparency, participation, and popular control.
